8 months!!

Wow how time flies!! Nate is 8 months old & changing every single day!

He is into absolutely EVERYTHING! He is crawling (which is actually a bear crawl.. He doesn't use his knees? So odd. I was told Eric did this same thing when he was younger) pulling up, he can walk while holding onto the couch or ottoman & is getting pretty good at letting go and keeping his balance for a few seconds.

He likes to try and clap but it often comes out as him just swinging his arms up & down. We are working on waving "hi & bye" and saying "momma and dada" even though it may be a while!

He loves bath time and splashing the water everywhere. He is a pretty awesome baby- it is like clockwork with his naps and food and since he is so happy, it's pretty easy to tell when he is sick.

He is loving any and all kinds of baby food & still sucks his bottle dry. We are attempting some puffs and yogurt melts but he will only eat them if someone feeds them to him. I find that so weird since all of his toys and everything else that is not edible goes straight to his mouth but he won't put actual food in his mouth.. Silly boy.

He has two bottom teeth and I think some more are about to come through!

We are absolutely head over heels for this boy & love watching him grow every day!!

Here is picture overload... :)

We had a great first Easter with our little buddy! He got to go on an Easter egg hunt at Erics aunt & uncles house and spent the morning playing with my kitchen bowls and spoons
He has really started to laugh at our dogs and is so interested in them! He tries to follow them everywhere but really it is just him turning from side to side to watch them! They are so good with him which makes my heart so happy, here he is playing with my sweet Charlie!
We got to go to a Steakout a couple weekends ago which was such a fun date night for us! There was a silent auction as well as other auctions. The bands were amazing so of course we danced the night away! Love this man :)

Lastly- I will end with this pretty awesome picture of my nephew and the one and only Emmitt Smith!

Christmas and 5 month update

Hard to believe that Christmas is already over and we are well into 2015!

2014 was a very stressful year- Eric and I struggled with some financial issues that we are still batteling but I am confident that 2015 will be SO much better for us in that area. My family/friends experienced 4 deaths within 6 months this year. Two of which were within 2 weeks of each other. My sweet mom lost her sister in June and her mom in December. My brother lost his ex-wife who is the mother of my precious nieces and nephew and one of my very best friends lost her mom to a long hard fought battle with cancer.

On top of all of this stress and sadness, giving birth to my precious Nathan has been the one thing to keep me smiling & seeing the positive. He brings SO much joy and happiness to our family and I just love watching him grow and learn.

To be honest, I am so happy to put 2014 behind me and have a fresh start. Looking forward to 2015 being filled with less worry, more happiness, stronger faith and a healthy family!

Here is the last month/Christmas in pictures :)

Me, Eric, Nate and my parents went to see the Christmas lights at the Botanical Gardens this year. It was alright but the fact that it was so packed made it a little less enjoyable. I know this year will be much better since Nathan will be able to enjoy so much more about Christmas!

Nathan has started experimenting with a few baby foods and so far loves Carrots, Sweet Potatoes and Squash :) As you can tell he has also found his feet and loves to grab them and put them in his mouth any chance he gets!

So happy in the mornings :)

Here he is on Christmas Eve in his little vest with a mohawk :)

Christmas was great this year- Christmas Eve we went to a nice dinner with Mark, Marti, Kenli, Cade and Lori. Afterwards, we came back to our house to watch Christmas Vacation :).

Christmas Day we all went to my parents and ate and played lots of Ping Pong. Brent, Julie and the boys got into town around 3 and it was so great to see them! I know it is hard to pack for those two boys and fly them down here for 2 days but we are so thankful and appreciative that they do that so we can be with them over the holiday. We love yall!!

The day after Christmas all of the siblings were able to go out without the kiddos which was great and so much fun. Here are some pictures of those couple days!

Absolutely adore this woman. Love you SO much, Aunt Raye!

Cheers to 2015!
